About UX University
“Knowledge is power” sir Francis Bacon once stated. Universities are a great place to gain knowledge. For many people however there comes a time to put knowledge into practice. To become a practitioner and create businessvalue. Slowly you will lose you connection with the Academic world. As believers of Lifelong Learing we think this is a missed opportunity.
Universities are powerhouses of knowledge and it’s up to practitioners to tap into this fountain of wealth.
UX University is a platform that aims to bridge the gap between the academic and the real world. The idea is quit simple.
Frequently we invite a professor and ask him to prepare a presentation about his field of knowledge for practitioners. After the presentation we will facilitate a discussion.
15 to 20 user experience practitioners are invited. People who are curious by nature. People who have an open-mind and an active attitude. People who have the ability to bridge the gap and put into practice what is learned elsewhere.
UX universities are held in the cozy kitchen of Singel146 in Amsterdam.
